Its moss-covered paving stones remain to this day. For an even more significant experience, learn about the routes at the Kumano Kodo Center, a major center of exchange in Higashi Kishu. The area is brimming with things to see, including unusual rock formations such as ‘Onigajo,’ ‘Lion Rock,’ and ‘Tategasaki;’ Shichiri Mihama, Japan’s longest pebbled beach; and the Maruyama Senmai rice fields, listed among Japan's 100 best terraced paddy fields.
